It also says no games until October 19th which is going to be tough to squeeze in league games after that.

Only league play is allowed as per NYS.

There will be further meetings and announcements from NYSPHSAA based on the state's guidance:
See their twitter:
https://twitter.com/NYSPHSAA
.
@NYSPHSAA
will utilize the following timeline once guidance is released: 1) within 24 hrs, Section Directors & Officers will meet, 2) within 48 hrs, COVID Task Force will meet, 3) within 72 hrs, Officers will make a decision "IF" needed.
Once those guidelines from NYSPHSAA are released, I guess then it will be up to individual districts to figure out what/if they can do with the requirements, budget implications, etc. So a few more hurdles, but no doubt the path is to allow sports in some form.

Either way I know my kids school district has been warning us that it is almost certain that they are going to push fall sports to early spring.

CT poster here - ours keeps getting pushed back, one minute everything i son, then off, then just maybe football is moved... However, even if the state allows it, districts can and are dropping out. I wouldn't call it a concrete trend yet, a few here or there, and hopefully it doesn't grow.
My HS players partly want it moved because of the realistic fear they might play 1-2 games and it all gets shut down regardless. As it is the season is very limited with probably no spectators, no playoffs. But, when you look at the complications of moving to the spring with multi sport athletes, club soccer players + the likelihood Covid will still be around, then is it better to roll the dice now?

Naive question here. Do the guidelines about no out of state games also apply to club teams? Are there separate guidelines for club sports?
