Can someone explain to a new parent the difference between DPL and ECNL and NPL? I am so confused. Our club announced today they are excited to be part of DPL. I guess that is a good thing but what does it mean?

DPL started as the league developed in Texas and Cal to place the DA second teams. Once DA closed, the DPL decided to launch the GA to replace it and make it the top tier of the DPL. They are now expanding regions to include all the GA second teams now. So in the Northeast, all the GA second teams (including NEFC, SSS, and Seacoast) will move their teams from NPL to DPL joining the other GA second teams. From what I understand too is that the other NPL clubs like Bayside, Aztec and Yankee will also move their first teams over to DPL. NPL will now get moved down the rung another spot. ECNL is still a separate non affiliated league.

wow thank you for that. Our club is called Liverpool Academy in MA, but they are all over. They are now DPL. So will it be good to be part of DPL? Our kid is younger so it might not matter but figured you guys are the experts.

My kid is in this league , and I'd say likely 70% of the "top" (open to definition) of players are in ECNL league. Most girl players likely aspire to get into this league, but there are various factors not associated with talent that prevent it

okay so I looked up trolling
"Basically, a social media troll is someone who purposely says something controversial in order to get a rise out of other users."
I don't see how I am a troll when I came here for information not purposely saying anything a t all controversial.
