My daughter felt horrible as well. Missing club soccer and high school soccer. She was devastated about missing prom. She was planning to losing her virginity prom night. I could not be happier. She still a virgin and eventually will forget about prom.

Of course it's tough on them, but in the long run they'll be fine. Some high schools and colleges are talking about having some kind of graduation ceremony in the summer if they can - not quite the same but a nice gesture.
Think about college seniors who are graduating into a horrifically bad economy? Or the millions unemployed. Keeping perspective is a good habit to develop.

You are right about younger students - there's almost no internships and definitely not paid ones. One of mine may just take classes this summer so they can finish earlier.

After years of ecnl and college, my senior was top rated prospect for the nwsl. With covid 19 putting a pause on professional sport, she will have to wait on being drafted.
