If the more optimistic estimates turn out to be true, the country should start moving back to normal activity in 6-8 weeks. That would put the season about a month behind. I've already been told there have been talks about playing into the summer months.

So basically, it's all going to come down to how this plays out. Optimistically, or doom and gloom? The former means summertime soccer. The latter means we'll probably have no soccer and some serious mental health issues cropping up.

I hate to break it to you but upper middle class families aren't hanging around this summer after a shelter in place. They're going on vacation rather than standing on the sideline of a turf field in 90 degree heat.

I know that's the idea, but good luck with it.

Spring as we know it is gone. If they're lucky they could have back to normal by June 1 and play a month. The idea that we will have our lives shutdown for months, get a return to normal, and they think they'll just push their schedule back into July is absurd thinking.
