    Inter - Player Evals

Let me start by saying, yes, I am going to talk about U12.

Did anyone see the player evaluations for the U12 teams? My son is on the combined team but it seems that most feedback was generic. I did notice some kids had a little more feedback, Passing both feet short and long. Kicking with laces, dribbling etc...

These seem like very basic skills that should already be learned, if these are truly the top kids. I wonder how many of these kids will be replaced after the year.

Have the older divisions also received their Evaluations. Just curious about the feedback.

if your kid is replaced, who cares? get over it. there are other clubs. if your kid stays, great, but know he is very likely to be replaced down the road. don't freak out it's just soccer. no one should leave their school for this. they have a small number of kids that they are seeing as "maybes" for the future and the rest are to varying degrees totally replaceable.

Just a couple of questions for you:

Which team is the combined team? There is a team of U11 players that practice together. And there is the U12 group which is split into two distinct groups that you may get moved up or down depending on perdormance or game needs..

How did you see the other kids feedback? Did the parents show you or tell you? The evaluation form was nothing like you described and the evaluations were done using video footage analysis of the kids during their actual games one on one with the coaches.

And what was your kid's evaluation. Because your post is very suspect...

My kid's evaluation. > Heading, use my left.

They combined team is the 2nd u12 team where they move some U11 kids up to play.

They put it in our WhatsApp chat. Evaluations with all the kids names and what they needed to work on. If you think it's suspect, you aren't one of the parents in the chat. It was broken down by team, one being a "Combined" team with all the kids names on it.

Just asking for perspective from the older teams. Notice I did not mention any kids by name. You my friend are an idiot.

He did start out by saying he was going to talk about U12.

Why is it so difficult to understand. A parent wanting an opinion.

That in itself is a lie. That was not an evaluation. It specifically said this is what you need to improve for your next evaluation in six weeks. It listed 2-3 thinks for each kid that even seasoned professionals still work on. As for the combined team another lie. My kid plays U11 and 95% of the time they ALL practice together with their own coach. There has been ONE tournament that a U11 played with the U12s and thats it. I can count on less than one hand the # of U11s that have practiced up. Stop trolling, you clearly have a silly agenda.. Get your facts straight first. By the way, they have been inviting new kids to tryout, so don't give up hope yet..

they have the best u/11 u/12s 40 plus of them. Why don't they start developing them, all of these kids should have great technical ability coming in, maybe some conceptual game learning is in order.

Great technical ability at 10 and 11 years old... LOL... I have no words.... But Iets play along. They have 40 plus kid because at this age you need a large pool of kids. Some of them are very talented, some are really good, some have a lot of potential. So as these kids develop, there will be some that continue to grow, some that peak, and some that can't cut it altogether. If anyone thinks that the development process takes mere months, then you either have no clue about soccer, or you are just a troll... This whole "didn't they take the best kids" is bull.. I'm sure there are other talented 10 and 11 year olds that didn't get seen or didn't make it for one reason or the other, but that's a part of sports in general. Everyone takes a different path to their destination. No guarantees and neither the academy or the coaches will be right 100% of the time. What some folks on here don't realize is that they DON'T have to be... They just need to get it right sometimes. And all you have to do is check how many of their own academy players are in European league teams vs the number of kids they train starting at 8 years old until they figure out what the kid is..

so, just to give you an idea, at ages 15, 16 when you can kinda see what a player is rounding out to be, the best scouts in the world - the best - say they have a 25% success rate on their good days. "success" being finding a pro prospect. that's the best in the world, and they have really big talent pools to choose from (the number of talented kids playing in say madrid is much greater than south FL). so here in SFL, with just regular soccer coaches and not super trained scouts, and a smaller talent pool, and kids that are 10 and 11 and not 15, 16, what do you think will be the success rate? it's a highly imperfect educated guess, no more.

U13, U14, U16/17 evaluations were complete, shared individually. had conversations over 1hr Player, coach, parent. Stop creating fake feedbacks. Whether coaches might not be the best out there? maybe, Do they need improvement? yes, 1st year... give a chance for God sake

I agree. You are a lying. Im also a parent. There were no evaluations shared in WhatsApp. And the document went out via email. It was definitely NOT an evaluation. The team does not communicate to us via whatsapp anymore either.
