Soccer Viza, CT Force, Revolution United

We just moved into Westport from overseas and are looking for a team for our daughter. We took her to the above three teams to trial. She is born in 07 and we are wondering if there are any other clubs or teams close to Westport. If there are no other teams close can someone please give us some feedback on the above clubs. I am her parent, but when she was in Sweden she played at the top level. Thank You

The three clubs you have visited are mid level clubs that are relatively new (Viza and Force), with Revolution around for a while - these clubs generally do not attract the best players in the area. You may also want to check out CT Rush, Everton America, Ole Impact, and Yankee United - they all offer programming for girls and are relatively close to Westport.

If she was the best player on the field at the three trials, you may want to consider CFC United program (ECNL) or New York Soccer Club (US Soccer Girls Development Academy). Also, but further away, you could consider FSA (ECNL) or Oakwood Soccer Club (US Soccer Girls Development Academy). All of these clubs are not local, and would require a 45 minute to 90 minute drive to practice each way.

Leaving out FSA and OW - too far to drive, that leaves you with 9 clubs to choose from. Expect to spend between $2,000 to $3,500 for annual tuition (Fall, Winter, Spring) and another $2,000 to $8,000 for travel/food/lodging to games and tournaments.
            Good luck!

Depends on how many family members get dragged along. Remember this is 12 year old girls that would likely require at least one parent. Trips to FL, TX, Virginia require air travel. All adds up fast!

most of the clubs mentioned play only in the northeast - only GDA and ECNL travel a lot, and the OP should avoid FSA and OW just based on distance alone.

Yankee and CT Rush go down to Jefferson Cup....and maybe FL. So some travel, but not as much as GDA and ECNL.

$2k to $8k (two people) seems about right for travel expenses.....oh yes, there is also that uniform cost which may or may not be included in the tuition fee.

Yankee - only if you don't care about your daughter's self esteem
Everton - no real girls program after FC left
Beachside - no more girls program
Revolution Girls - meh. Ok but that's it
Rush - not doing well, Prince left
Ginga - not a bad option
CFC branch (don't bother past U14) or NPL or ECNL (possibly if it's a good fit)

Agreed - lower end for NPL, higher end for ECNL or GDA
