If a club wants to expand its territory, going into LI makes little sense. Besides the fact that Li soccer is a disaster - way too many clubs, many of them poorly run - you're better off expanding closer to home where you can run a tighter ship. And if you're not a name brand club with a proven track record it's going to be a very tough market to crack. Ginga or whoever isn't a name brand in the Ny/NJ/MA soccer community. It's barely even a name in CT.

With all the kids coming to OW to try out after the red bulls win OW figured they would set up another site in NY.

Well they should look elsewhere then LI. LI not that interested in gda and with good reason. Find a better ny market. Good luck.
