Shelton, Amity, Guilford, Hand and Cheshire typically have decent programs. Big drop off after that. In the past the SCC has sabotaged their own schools by having what they deem to be the Tier 1 schools playing one another twice during the regular season. It dilutes their records and makes for poor seeding in the CIAC tournament.
In the FCIAC, everyone plays everyone. Staples plays Bridgeport Central and Stamford HS. in the SCC, the conference avoids the Suburban schools from playing the urban schools. It would be like Staples playing SJ twice instead of playing Stamford HS.
Hand had an L title two years ago but none of the schools have been any good lately.

Put the most technical kids on the field and sit back Dave
