    USL Academy league

In this the first salvo in MLS academies breaking away

Any chance Hartford or AC CT gets involved. They are several layers down from the primary USL so probably not

Perhaps they just were mentioned because they're already involved in USL? Couldn't be, right? That would be Ca-ra-zy

MLS DA teams will leave USSF DA and join forces with USL pro academies in the future. If combined they would have over 74 clubs (MLS soon to 28, USL Championship 36, USL League One 10) - and all three leagues are growing. So a youth league of 100 pro clubs is possible in the future. USSF DA will be disbanded, and OW and BS will be left out.

OW should hook up with HA and get in the mix for the future.

I have to say that makes some sense. Gives pro clubs control over their own league, and gets for profit youth clubs out of the mix. 100 clubs isn't too bad for travel either

Spot on. That’s why it was posted. The handwriting is on the wall

Looks like MLS will be up to 29 with STL and Sacramento next up. Ultimately 30 with Charlotte

AC 2006, 2005 and 2004 teams can beat BS BDA teams, straight up.

And the school yard chest pounding bravado of children continues here in the nonsense being posted by adults. Does if feel good to act and talk like a 12 year old?

You think these USL teams can support DA teams? This will still be a pay to play model. Just them trying to get a piece of the youth soccer pie to subsidize their "pro" teams. Until USA adopts the fees associated with selling youth players and portions some of that to teams that have trained the kids this will never work.
