    DA?

Is it jealousy, or what? Seems a shot about DA leaks into every thread now. I don't see anyone crowing, only the slamming of it.

Why can't players and parents be happy with their choice and leave it at that? Or, are we trying to bring someone else down to level it out?

I don't get it. There's way too many leagues and none of them work for everyone. Go with what works for you and move along.

Some people are just DB's and trolls. Most of these people that post garbage here wouldn't have the balls to say it to your face, and they wouldn't have the balls to say it here either if their posts weren't anonymous, because eventually people could find out who they were in real life, and the soccer community is small...

So you start a new thread to bring more attention to the topic? Honestly, I had to go through a few pages of info before I saw a post that you may be talking about, but honestly... who cares? Just do your own thing.

Well, there was the several day rants trashing all the kids who play soccer in NH to start. And, just last night there were two. So, I asked.

That's the point: Do your own thing. I was curious what motivates someone to try to bring down a program and the children who participate.

Every once in awhile here there's a silly thread that goes crazy. It's few and far between. It is typically the same thing, one "side" mocks DA and then the other "side" mocks high school soccer, etc. At the end of the day, the kids will all likely be hanging out together somewhere at a D3 school anyway and they will be likely be friends/teammates. It all works itself out.

And, yet, we have an entire HS soccer thread and nobody mocked the soccer at all.....

And?! Why don’t you go ahead and point out the specific posts that hurt your feelings. Then, we can all look into and decide if they are worthy of further discussion.

The fact that you think it's jealousy is exactly why people mock DA. You clearly think there's something to be jealous OF. Especially on the girls side, there's not, and delusional parents are annoying. I suspect that's why people take so many shots at DA. On the MA threads, i see way more mocking of HS. Not sure why. At least no parents of HS players are kidding themselves into thinking their kid is playing NT anytime soon.

I didn’t see much mocking, some but mostly people posting negatives about Seacoast and DA and how it’s not a good idea. Many teams in the DA leaugue across the country are phenomenal with really talented players. The problem lies with Seacoast competing in the league and delusional parents thinking their daughter belongs in that upper echelon. They don’t. There are only a handful of girls high school age in NH that are going to play D1 in college, yet Seacoast will tell you all the DA kids will. So they give up high school and middle school soccer and they train 4 days a week and travel to NY every weekend for games and fly to DA showcases (can’t compete in anything else or anything local) and for what? Not going D1.

It sounds like your daughter (or you) made the decision not to play DA and enjoy school soccer and NPL/NEP instead, for reasons that are right for your daughter and your family. Have faith in yourself that you made the right decision. You really don't need to try to justify your choice here on TS by posting all that you see wrong with families that chose the opposite, because it was right for their daughters. It just makes it sound like you feel a little bitter that either your daughter is missing out on something, or more likely, that some good players were taken off of her team to play DA, thereby affecting her chances of being "seen" by college recruiters since her team won't be as strong as you were expecting before the Seacoast GDA announcement came along. Enjoy your choice, let others enjoy theirs.

Not the OP but maybe he didn't post to justify his choice or because he thought his D was missing out, but instead to show how SUSC is chumping the players and parents by sliding kids up so that SUSC can have DA teams and still keep their NPL teams etc... I bet you all the money in the world that anyone who was moved up was told they were moved up because they deserved it and are now a NPL player/DA player etc. Reality is in most cases the only reason they were moved up was because SUSC had to, for SUSC's own selfish benefit. SUSC isn't big enough and isn't good enough to support DA, and now they just watered down their entire club across the board. I wonder if the Pom Poms will still be waving if those teams get destroyed this Fall? Will it be right for their daughters then?

And, still, people just can't be happy with their own choices and still have to lower others down.

                              Sad society we are in...
