Decent mile times women's college soccer

I've a rising HS junior who's looking to play in college. She's interested in knowing what the typical mile times are for d1, d2 and d3. Anyone have this info?

My D1 player has been running sub 6 minutes since middle school.

Really? My 14 year old son runs a six minute mile, and gas to run 2 to make high school varsity.

Trying to impress a coach at a US school? Better to just buy a medieval rack and stretch her out a few inches.

Many colleges don't do timed miles anymore

It's all about the beep test

For soccer, a timed mike is useless. Better to time a 10k, 40 yard sprint, and as the prior poster said, a beep test. High School coaches who know absolutely nothing about soccer use timed miles (or 2 mile runs)... again useless in soccer amd not used at all in college.

She ran 5:54 in 8th grade. Has not done a timed mile since. It is irrelevant for soccer.

The beep test is the best measure. Why don’t the clubs do it?

Don’t know where you are but the Stars do.

Our club also does it. My D is younger, but I saw the U13s & U14s doing it just after the spring season started.

At my D’s school (D1) they run the mile on the 2nd day of camp, 120s the next and beep the day after. Times in the mile ranged from 5:35 to 8:01(starting keeper). 6:20 is considered “passing” which only 9 out of 28 did, but a bunch were between 620 and 630. The top 15 definitely parallels who ended up getting the most minutes for what it’s worth.
