Being a HS coach in FC isn't easy. They don't get paid nearly enough to deal with all the parental bulls**t. At least this parent didn't get arrested so Wilton stays on top, for now

No serious soccer player in Westport plays for the town past age 8; however, those that remain have DB parents. Worst sideline etiquette ever. Rival LI lax parents.

From the article, this says it all: “It’s entitled parents with entitled kids,”
Many parents think their their Little Suzie or Little Johnny is the best. Kids today are soft and coddled.

A lot of DBaggery going on there, it seems. Lots of great hope for future generations coming from parenting like that. I hope the coach sues the school system and parents and wins more than enough to retire on.

There is a generation of kids being raised not to take responsibility.

If a kid messes up on the soccer field and misses a mark that gives up a goal and is taken out of the game, it's the coach's fault.

My kids have played Westport travel teams over the years and while i've not seen any violence or threats of violence (which we saw once at a Norwalk game), the language these parents use during the game is by far the worst of any team in FC. Every single call that doesn't go their way is treated like the ref just killed their child. When they lose they say things like "sometimes a crappy team can have a good day" loud enough for all of us to hear. When they win, we hear things like "can't believe the score wasn't higher."
I really do feel bad for the kids. Darien, New Canaan, Greenwich, Old Greenwich are also wealthy towns. These parents are usually well behaved. It's not the money that leads to them being DBags. Something in the water plus MK coaches.
