I am no fan boy of ECNL. The monopoly on top girls soccer has inflated costs, corrupted coaches, made them lazy but USSF does not have a the leverage they thought they had and that's not going to end well for them.
What is your end goal? The goals and feasible outcomes for men and women players are different.

Don't complicate things....
I doubt any of the top fully funded Soccer schools care about the landscape one bit. These schools are at YNT camps home and abroad. Budgets are just fine and they have resources to travel.
Its possible that school with poorer resources do, but that begs the question why you would want to use soccer to get there anyways ? If local, you don need showcases to get seen.
