    Regional Residency Program

    1. USSF completely drops GDA program
    2. USSF forms 8 regional residency programs, 5 age groups 20 players apiece, 800 players total
    3. USSF regional residency teams will be placed in closest ECNL division and play ECNL schedule
    4. USSF free to set rules, who gets in, additional games, camps etc. any way they see fit
    5. Find 8 local private schools to host and educate the kids. 160 kids per region, should get volume discount.
    6. $30,000 per player adds up to $24,000,000 cost to USSF
    7. USSF charges the 3,000,000 kids that play soccer in the US $10 per year, so they collect $30,000,000.
    8. Let the regional residency teams compete against ECNL, will help coaches see new talent regularly.

$30,000 per player? you are dreaming if you think that is enough to buy the above list.

$10,000 tuition, $10,000 room & Board, $10,000 other. When was the last time you offered a private school the opportunity to bring in 160 kids all at the margin? It is 90% profit to them, no additional teachers, admin etc. It is same model colleges use to finance scholarships. Also, locate in reasonable areas, not high cost of living areas. The kids are there to play soccer, not run around downtown LA or Boston. Plus, not asking Harvard to do the education, just some reasonable option.

Yes, plus there is going to be significant fallout from the USA gymnastics ranch / Larry Nasser scandal.

There is no problem to solve. GDA will be just fine without your “ideas”

Sounds good in theory. Walk me through the player ID and selection process, from logistics to governance.

As a rebuttal, for all the discussion in recent years that the elite and older players have gotten as some sort of problem that needs solving for the future of the USWNT, seems to me the area of the sport that desperately needs attention and solving is grassroots and younger instead.

They will live in tents on the front lawn of each state's state capitol. USSF will text them lesson plans each day and the kids will coach themselves. Nike will provide free soccer balls too. I am sure the private schools would love to foot the bill to educate these kids that cant play for their soccer teams, but if that falls short, USSF can also text them lesson plans to go over on their own. Once again, you are trying to pay for this with $10 of other peoples money. Where does USSF have access to $10 from 3M kids? Are you a total moron or just a buffoon?

                  Dear arrogant piss ant,

Take your waspy attitude and get out and see the rest of America. Not everybody lives in the westerns suburbs of MA and has private school tuitions of $50k per year. There are plenty of charter schools, catholic schools, and even public schools that would happy meet this need at the given cost. Of course what you want is your snotty little girl to get an a++ private school education, private room with no roommate, daily sushi plus have US soccer fund her training. As far as the fee, its $10 per head, which USSF could get from youth soccer organizations or is $10 just too much. Either way, you clearly live in a bubble, so doubt you have any concept that is relatable to the 99% of the rest of us.

Very few parents will want to given some soccer governing body oversight of their children's education. Gymnastics scandal won't help either

Not the poster but no way we're compromising our kids education for a sport. We're not private school wealthy but have an excellent public school. The US just isn't the rest of the world when it comes to making huge sacrifices for soccer. Even worse for women's soccer - sure the NT players can make some money with endorsement's but that is it. No thanks. Not even sure I'd allow it if I had an NT level player

Go ahead dipsh|t, drive even more clubs away because you are forcing them to pay for stupid ideas. I think we had a tea party once because of this, but it escapes me now.

                              Dear stupid moron,

Please name 1 "PRIVATE" school that will educate all of these kids for charity of a rich, white, suburban, elitist sport out of the goodness of their hearts. Just one. Are you stupid? Maybe McDonalds will feed them all for free too and the Marriott can host them all. Just because you thought of something does not make it a good idea. Sometimes, we should keep our ideas to ourselves ..... like this one!
