    TBU!!!!!!! Charlie Slagle

Let’s me be more direct! That's what you coaches always say.....

    Charlie Slagle/George Fotopoulos,
What are you going to do about the girl’s program for the 2005's? Apparently, you don't understand that the Premier team is ready to implode if you keep MG. There must be a change for the better, we the parents are paying customers. The lack luster attitude from the coach is causing this team to head in a downward spiral. Something no one wants to see. You have put in place a coach that strips her new born to her chest and tries to coach a team. ITS NOT WORKING!!!! She is consistently late to practice. Her practices are chaotic and doesn’t follow the Player Development Initiatives set forth by US Soccer. We know that she is currently trying to pass her “D” license. Funny that she is taking it now because it is a requirement for State CUP but, it’s a little too late for her with these kids because in the past 3-year with the team she has been too passive, too chaotic, the girls do not respect her, the girls run the team, and most importantly the girl’s development has been restricted. There is no ACOUNTABILITY on the team. At the beginning of the season when she was still pregnant you introduce an assistance to help when she was gone. That was the right thing to do, but these two have two different player development and game strategy philosophies. The girl responds to a more defined training session and game strategy. You need to do a better job with aligning coaches. You would know this if you were doing your job. I’m not saying the assistant should take over the team, but a change is needed for the betterment of our kids. Don’t let her know you are coming out and watch from a distance and ask the paying customers what they think. You will see for yourself how bad it is. Heck….maybe come out and watch a game…. Until YOU do your JOB she will still NOT do hers.

Let me say it again...A change is needed for the betterment of our kids.

This Is a great rant, but you are not the ECNL team, so they don’t care at all, unfortunately for you.

Well they should...with the right coach, one of those players can develop into an ECNL player down the road.

This seems odd..... "because in the past 3-year with the team she has been too passive, too chaotic, the girls do not respect her, the girls run the team,..." Someone stayed with this terrible coach for 3 years only to go off 2-weeks before the end of the season?

I have been around youth soccer for more than 10 years and there are ways to get things done. If you are a concerned parent - contact the club leadership directly. You actually list 2 people's names in here. Call them instead of posting on this web site. You lose credibility if you know exactly who you should be talking to but instead this rant on this web site. makes it look like your complaints are disingenuous.

But I’m scared to confront people face-to-face and it’s easier for me to hide behind my keyboard

That team has not developed for years and are not very good. The parents are there for hopes and dreams of the kids getting a shot at ECNL.

So...since you have been around for a while, you know that sometime when you have that conversation, the coach takes it out on your kid. This wasn't so much as a rant, but as to inform the soccer community about what is going on at TBU for this age group/team. There are parents unhappy at all clubs.
