    NEFC Money Grab GO BM!!

    The Goal:
Each player must sell $100 worth of raffle tickets - that is only 10 tickets per player
NEFC is rolling out club-wide requirements that fundraising is an integral part to participation in our club. This allows us to make more teams and therefor positively influence more youth

    Weekly Check-Ins:
Our philanthropy director will be checking in each week and sending total sales by region.
It is the coaches job to make sure that your team is on track to meet their goal and it is the DOC's job to provide motivation and encouragement
Each practice should be a check-in. You can even take the last minute of practice or water breaks to have everyone share the link with at least one person. This should easily get each player to their goal of 10 raffle tickets sold

    Promoting:
After speaking to families and players during practice, tournaments and games be sure to prompt them each week. Every week, players should send the link to folks in their network.
They may want to start with mom and dad, then aunts and uncles, grandparents, teachers, friends' parents, etc. Lots of opportunity to reach at least 10 people to buy at least one ticket.
    MLK Day Tournament:
Tournaments: The MLK tournament is going to be your best time to have parents and players in one location.
Make sure you have a team meeting regarding the raffle.
Take advantage of this one-day to push the raffle and the benefit it will have to our club and individual region.
It's possible you meet your goal of 10 tickets per player in just one day!
    Things to Remember:
Top-selling players will receive prizes and one top selling team gets free entrance into the NEFC preseason tournament
The means a lot to parents as summer camp and tournament fees can add up
    LINK for Raffle https://www.accelevents.com/events/nefc

Fundraiser begins Monday Jan 14 ending on March 26, 2018
50%of revenue goes back into region
player who sells the most overall= free week at NEFC residential camp and $250 from We Got Soccer
Team that sells the most in each region = free team registration in NEFC tournament
player in each region that sells the most= free attendance to regions summer camp
Thank you for help and spreading the word abut NEFC raffle. See you all this week.

I'm sold on that last line. Yeah right. It only positively benefits the club owners who found themselves under funded midway through the year. Or wanted a late Xmas bonus for themselves.

I've no issue with clubs raising money to lower fees or go towards scholarships for families in need - but not "This allows us to make more teams and therefor positively influence more youth'

My first call would be to try to solicit from BM's foundation.

The budget shortfall is likely due to the massive team/player losses at Metro south and the underperformance of Southeast and South Shore in recruiting and retainment. More to come, as NEFC fired AM right after the last payment was processed for families who opted for the payment plan.

Sorry, but no way in hell I'm paying $2-3k in fees and then participating in a required fundraiser.

Yes, that is what the other clubs do.

If you have a shortfall, just raise the fees next year.

There is now way a club is going to lower fees. And even if some of the money goes to families in need, how are you going to know how much. Its a club revenue generator disguised as a "charity" drive.

                          BM can kiss my ass
The club has done nothing except what I pay them to do. Last year, tee shirts, this year a raffle. Sorry, kiss my ass.
