NEFC NPL teams are highly competitive. They compete with ECNL teams too. This isn't a surprise.

I thought Academy teams only do DA events? Is that another myth set forth by the scam artists at US Soccer?

            .

Not a surprise as I'm sure the Breakers DA teams (such as BBA 03) would lose to ECNL and NPL teams.

Not shocking. Plenty of good non DA teams out there, as well as poor DA teams. DA can be great if you're a starter at good program. Beyond that you really have to question the value of doing it vs any other options you have

So when Bristol beat Manchester United it means the EPL is a sham?

Where is the listing of these games?
The website is a dead end.

Part of the reason they don't want clubs playing outside teams - shatters the illusion of greatness

Both NEFC & GPS NPL oldest teams would certainly give Revs and Bolts a run for their money. Both teams have many Div. 1 college players.

This delusion that when a player is no longer on the Academy team they were cut is beyond silly. Yes, of course, it does happen, but many leave on their own. Many have left and been extremely successful. Not knocking Academy, it has its purpose. Needs to be residential to really benefit development. Other than that it's really only the competition that makes Academy worth it. Of course free is nice.
