DA could be gone with no WC Qualification

With not qualifying we could see the DA system come to a end.

    Questions-

MLS is spending millions on the DA system.

How many are actually going from u18 right into MLS and skipping college?
Why do we have so many international players in the MLS and not the kids from DA?
Why does DA have dual age groups at u16/17?
If the system is working..why did we not qualify for the Olympics?
Why did Juergen go out and find so many non Americans and not the players that were developed within the DA system?
Why is our best future player a non-Da player and developed in Germany?

We will see a major shake up and I believe the MLS owners will seek to end the Da. It’s not worth the investment and this will be the time to end it and save millions

I don't think that is going to happen. The DA system is not a bad idea, just the way it is being implemented, and its current structure and philosophy. They need to get rid of the pay to play, maybe only allow MLS DA's or force other clubs to make them free to DA selections.

US soccer will not be great until clubs can get paid developing players and earning transfer fees. Remember MLS controls player transfers not the clubs. The business model is anything near what they have in Europe.

As long as we continue with this pay to play system, we will never be successful. Everywhere in the world is almost free to play.

And this would never happen because 99% of the players are going to college and this would be a violation of the ncaa. I’m telling you....MLS owners are not seeing the ROI on the DA teams they are funding and it could get killed off because they can’t sell the players. America is not the same passion for Soccer and the parents wants kids to go to college

We have no system at u19-23 and we expect college Soccer to continue to develop and they don’t. Our players playing college soccer is the issue. We do not have a big pool of players still developing in a professional level two system.

Which NCAA rule do you violate? If you do not play in a professional league game or get paid you can still play D1, NAIA You can play D2 if at time of enrollment you are not still playing in the professional league and you are allowed to have received a salary for playing. D3 same as D2 but you can not have received a salary.

But, if your goal is to play professional college is not the route. DA's goal is not to develop players to play in college. The goal is to develop professional and national league players.

We did not qualify for the Olympics and none of the players on that team were called up to the USA national team speaks that the DA system and college Soccer is not working

The Chargers are doing a great job of developing our next generations of losers.

Please do not try to reason with this guy. This is the same guy on many threads who has it out for the Chargers in general, but also the DA, because it is attached to the Chargers. His kid did not get selected for the A team when he was younger and has never been close to a DA team and now all he does is look for any opportunity to bash the Clearwater Chargers. This guy knew nothing about soccer until his semi retarded kid started playing and his type of personality lends him to think that his kid is much better than he is and everything the Chargers did to his son and him, was a conspiracy. A very strange dude.

yYou are the type of parent that is everything wrong with youth soccer. Face it, all of our kids are terrible and none of them will play professionally or for the national team. You just think spending more money on your kid means he's in a better place but reality is, your kid sucks too.

So you admit that your kid sucks?

Spot on. The DA is system isn't perfect and needs to improve, but it only one component.

Scrapping it entirely is a huge step back.
