Hi everyone! I am so glad I stumbled on this site!We are new to the area and are looking for a club for my two daughters. My older girl is 12 and a natural born scorer. She is scrappy and has a nose for the goal. The younger 10 year old is a formidable defender. She plays sweeper for our old rec team. We have decided it is time to make the foray into the world of club soccer. Where should we turn?

Ever think that maybe this guy posted the same sort of thing back when his kid was a U12 and now that his kid didn't get a whiff of interest from college coaches their all about how it should be al about education. Guess sour grapes are all you can post about when you chase the dream and fail. So sad though.

I think it is a legitimate question. To the original poster...where do you want the soccer path to take you. There are many good options and they all don't have to result in a D1 scholarship or Olympic glory.

The reality is these days where clubs are starting their programming in the 2nd-3rd grade that is actually on the late side to be answering the potential question. Be prepared for a bunch of his baseless "facts" that he constantly uses to convince parents that are struggling with the whole recruiting thing that they can shoot higher than is realistically warranted and that they have more time than they factually do. He wants people to fail at the recruiting game and join with him in celebrating education over soccer because he believes that most club soccer parents are in it just to support their kids and have absolutely no interest in college scholarships. In his weird world the costs of both club soccer and college tuition are trivial. His views are beyond ill informed and his constant barrages espousing them make him a huge menace.
Most parents ARE in it to support their kids.
Most parents would be beyond thrilled if their kid was admitted to a top college.
It's ok if you were in it for the money -- to each their own -- but would you PLEASE stop saying everyone shares your values? We don't.
