High School Age Groupon Costs (2002-1999)

I am looking for any real info minus the sarcasm families may have on their sons club soccer
costs once thy hit high school. My son was selected for a regional level team at a Mass club (not npl, but for play in nep). I do not know if I am being naive to the cost, but it seems high. Can anyone provide real info as to club costs at u16-18 age groups where your child plays. I know I could contact clubs directly but do not want to end up on endless mailing lists either. I just want to be sure I am paying a reasonable amount for my son.

Top club NPL - $2,600 + uniforms, fee includes 2 local tournaments, typically NEP is about $300 less at our club

Pretty much inline with others at that level, but make sure it specifies how many times per week he's training winter and spring, as well as how many tournaments. Then it's apples to apples comparison

I can tell you that my daughter is on a regional elite team for a big club and is HS, and we have paid $2100 freshman year, $2200 sophomore year and $2300 junior year. This includes three tournaments, training 2x week winter (including futsal) 3x a week in spring (including technical training). She did not need to replace her uniform last year, but will have to this year. So that will be a couple of hundred dollars additional. We also paid for one additional local tournament, which cost us about $70 . I realize this is girls, but I am guessing it is similar.

Should not be paying more than 900. Look at Commonwealth - top 3 team in state u18- all your paying for at 3000 is money to coaches who cant work in real world and basically losers.

I got a mailing from Groupon with an offer of $555 for a season of soccer at GPS. Games are at 6:30 am on Tuesdays, but it's a pretty good deal. If you combine it with the offer from Olive Garden for unlimited breadsticks for $8 with purchase of the "Taste of Italy Feast", don't see how you could go wrong. God bless the interwebs.

$900 was probably the break even point a few years ago. For decent coaching, decent indoor and outdoor field space, I've seen many clubs now come in the $1,200-$1,400 range for the HS aged kids. Everything included except uniforms and winter league play. And this is for clubs outside of 128 where things are a bit less expensive.

What is your son's goal? Is it getting better to be more competitive in high school? Is it that he wants to be "the man" at the level he plays?

If he is hoping for college soccer, check the 2017 commits thread and checkout where he might get the best opportunity for your budget/ location/ etc.

NPL costs at bigger clubs are around 3k, all in. DAP is more and much higher travel costs. And so on...
