What's the situation with this club? I heard the whole global image sports and west ham united thing never happened as promised, and I heard that John Robinson is moving to Michigan. Is that true?

The club is dreadful. The coaching staff is either young kids in their early 20s with no experience developing players or parents without any playing experience. They only have two fields, with 7-8 teams being crammed onto one field from 6pm-7:30pm, so there's no proper field space for the kids to practice. No league play, so the kids don't get the consistent games they need week in, week out. No GIS as promised. No West Ham as promised. The partnership with Gateway has already fallen apart.
The only people who are there are parents who have swallowed the John Robinson pill or who don't put their kids soccer development as their first priority.Comment

Because my son was there last season. He played on the U12 team. We made the decision to move to GPS where he'll be playing on the U13 first team, the team that just won State Cup this weekend. So, even if he did get "cut" if we hadn't decided to move on, we still would have been happy getting cut.Originally posted by Unregistered View Post
John is a nice guy, but you can see the disorganization and lack of structure all over the place. Things are very poorly run and as I said, there's no field space, no league play, no quality coaching, and the promises about global image sports and west ham united were broken as they never happened.
