Wish my daughter's team could have entered. Though they've played together for a long time, they didn't meet the requirement for 3 games in an approved league so they didn't qualify. I wonder how much participation they would have had if they removed that criteria? That rule locks most rec teams out of participating, which is a shame considering it's for D3 teams. It should be open for every team.

First there was President's Cup for 3 to 4th tier teams. Now Commissioner's Cup??? That must be 5th and 6th tier teams! I thought that level was called Rec, or in this case, Rec Cup!
You know every player got a ribbon!

You are full of BS.... Rec teams play under FYSA player passes and leagues....Your coach/club did not enter your kids team. THAT IS WHY YOUR KID DID NOT PLAY AND GET A PARTICIPATION RIBBON.

Read the rules. You have to be in an FYSA approved league. See Item #5, Page 4. Keeps a lot of Rec teams from participating. It's a stupid rule:

Maybe this rule was put in to protect the lower level "elite" teams from getting beat by rec teams with talented players. Gives those lower level "elite" teams one more chance for a participation trophy at the expense of other kids who are barred from entrance. I know of some strong rec teams that could have made a good showing there. They should drop the requirement and let any team enter. If they need fees to cover it, they should charge them up front.

You guys are something else. No wonder the state of youth soccer in Florida is so awful--your apples don't fall far from your trees. Obviously not everyone can be D1 players like your precious 'elite' offspring. God help those kids who aren't at their level...(that was sarcasm).

So what league does your kid play in? I would like to see for myself if it is an approved league. Also, what age group?

And don't give me the crap about "we play in an in-house league". If that is the case, you are nothing more than an I9 or a YMCA team. Send a little more and go to a club that offers more then a "show up to the field and we will play league".

How does a "Pre-Academy" team get to play at this level of a tournament? BU must be pretty desperate and the state is also at fault for allowing it to happen.
