way too many leagues all in the name of confusing parents who are sheep to the folks who run the clubs. Its an absurd game that is out of control.

History Lesson - FYSA (poor management) was slow to react to US Club entering the market and so because of that some clubs (the big boys) opted to suggest they push best teams into US Club ECNL/FPL for so called better level of play. Maybe so, its debatable age by age as being reality. FYSA scrambles and invents FSPL to compete further diluting but helping the smaller clubs stay relevant against the big boys. As you will see, label FSPL/NPL/ECNL team results in State Cup to really compare which teams fair well. Should be telling indication as to which holds a higher level of competition.

I am not privy to the regional leagues around the state but know USA/CDL make no sense to be separate leagues and need to merge creating a tiered 1-4 divisional system and let the chips fall where they may on the field and not in the board room.

            This absolutely should be done.

              This.

One problem with FSPL is the amount of turnover in the director spot. 4 directors in 5 years. It was run well some time ago but lost momentum with the changes.

Clubs will not support one basket as it will uncover their programs for what they are. Leagues will not support one league and have enough contact with the clubs to rile them up against one platform. FNPL is designed to be exclusive and wouldn't want to hold all the cards.

And should also be done with GCF and BYSL in central Florida.

FSPL was only good in its inaugural season when they limited it to the top 10 teams in the state.

Year 2 was a disaster when they had 1st and 2nd division. Teams leading the second division were accumulating 4 times as many gotsoccer points as teams leading the 1st division. It was a complete clusterf***

FSPL is a joke again this year due to the birth year rule. In some clubs, more than half the roster changed.

Next year could be good if they simply took the 2017 State Cup quarterfinalists (top 8 teams). Each team would play each other twice (14 total games).

Top 4 teams in State Cup usually join Region III league and or National League. FYSA will no longer let them play in both Region III and FSPL due to all the game conflicts.
