    Question about April tryouts

If two different clubs have tryouts at different times and the hood is not released from their existing clubs until the end of May.. can a parent make a choice? Or once you register into a team and pay a deposit you can't change your mind ( until end of May)?

If you are moving from a FYSA club to a US Club (or vice versa), the release does not matter.

If moving between 2 FYSA (or US Clubs), you should ask the gaining club what to do. It is in their best interest to follow the league rules to avoid any sanctions being requested by the losing club.

FYSA does not consider players committed until June 10. Yes you can change your mind up until that date.

Slight correction... a club can be both FYSA and US club based on leagues they play in. Could depend on the intended league that the gaining team is planning to play

You can't register until 6/10. A little different than being committed.

Yes, thank you. Jumped over that detail. Not common, but still out there.

Don't commit to more than one club

June 10th the club's register players that have signed. If you sign with more than one club you will have trouble as the club that registers your kid first gets the rights.

FYSA has completely jacked up the system - I hope the paid positions there get replaced with the next election.

If you sign with two, can't you withdraw from a signing if you notify them before June 10th?

                      www.fysa.com

You are bound to your current club till June 10th. You can only play for another FYSA club or sign with another FYSA club if you get released before then, and also pay the penalty if your club has one.

If it is your first year and you register with a club I believe you still have until June 10th to change your mind and go with another club. Keeping in mind that anything that you have already paid might be forfeit as part of the registration contract or whatever penalty for that they have written in. But as I understand it they can't force you to commit to them if you inform them before the Jun 10 deadline.

So I can sign and pay the fee with another club before June 10th?

You can sign with as many clubs and pay as many fees as you would like. No one will know. Just make sure you tell all the clubs you DON'T want to play for before Jun 10 and keep proof that you did so. Otherwise you might just end up on the first club that submits their rosters.
