    Galway

Hearing rumors that there is another big mutiny at Galway and several coaches leaving and taking teams with them. Anyone hear this?

Clearly not you. But maybe Galway players and parents do?

Three coaches, including the one everyone liked the best, have left for other clubs in the last week.

The building is being sold, either outright or some share of it, to some lacrosse club.

My kids don't play there, but we have friends who do. I'd expect a mass exodus of kids come June.

Thanks. That's too bad for the kids who are invested in the club.

You, sir, are a serious jackass. Because you don't care no one else should discuss this? Shall we change the name of the forum from "Talking Soccer" to "Talking only about what the pompous jackass would like to talk about" ???

Or, it's a blessing in disguise. The sooner they get over to SSS or NEFC the better off they'll be.

I don't think NEFC is very convenient for kids in Sciuate or Cohasset

Did the coaches take their teams with them?

They have a branch at the U in Hanover. New but growing.

Sorry but Galway hasn't been relevant for a while. There are plenty of other teams down that way. It's most likely the best thing for the development of the kids.

Galway is just a tick above an in- town program. Its really just an activity for most of the south shore parents to send their kids to.

If and when the kids get really into soccer they move onto other programs like Select, NEFC, FCUSA, Mass City, etc....

Kids don't leave those clubs to go play at Galway.

Fouad is a disaster. He is bringing the club to its knees. Two Directors have quit and joined other clubs ( FCUSA and Mass City ). Galway is losing players from towns that they have relied on for a number of years. 2-3 years left, if they are lucky.
