Smoke and mirrors. Means nothing like TBU/Rowdies. Those parents who buy into the propaganda just have no clue. Same follks running clubs with same poor results. An affiliation means I have a cell number and we get discount tickets. chargers/president owns soccer stores in orlando so now he sells your more merchandise and gets you to travel to orlando instead of st. Pete. These two clubs have screwed you for years because management doesn't play well together. Very unfortunate.Comment

Agreed....TBU/Rowdies affiliation is basically a trade of cell phone numbers. The kids basically work concessions and act as ball boy for discounted tickets. TBU bringing a lot of negative attention to our area by how poorly they run their partial DA. Going an entire season winless is humiliating. US Soccer is about to step in to solve that issue To top all this off, the Rowdies are never good and play in a minor/mid-tier pro league (not MLS worthy). The reality is this. You have coaches who don't coach but carry a license from many years ago that isn't up to the required standards at each club. I've watched it and it's a travesty. The shortage of quality licensed coaches is the issue. Both clubs make due. This is the issue at all clubs. With the money they bring in they should be spending it on coaches who can run dynamic age appropriate training sessions. If a parent is smart, they ask questions about the best coach at the age and pursue them and not the club. If you want a quality club with full DA quit your job and move to a bigger market with a high level staff. We don't have it here.Comment

Reality is this. The 16 DA in Clearwater hasn't lost a game in over 10 games and doing way better than the OC team which is the MLS club. Pretty pathetic for OC with all the so called great Scottish coaches coming over. Coaching at Clearwater is strong and players doing better than OC MLS club.Comment

Agreed. This has been the biggest problem with TBU. They run their club poorly and house very poor coaches. As you point out, this is a huge problem. I think quitting TBU is the best option or just moving away from the proximity of the club. Quitting your job should be considered, but only as a ratio in aspect to the distance you move away from the TBU fields. Demand dynamic training regardless of standards.
