    looking for some solid advice

    Good Afternoon,
With the spring thaw approaching it is time for us to choose a club for our 12 year old daughter. We moved here from florida before the holidays and things have been so hectic we haven't had time to really study the soccer landscape here and heard this site offers a wealth of information. We are looking for a club that could use a strong scorer that is in a top notch program that will help her develop her skills and get her to the promised land. Also are there any tournaments that are outside in late Feb or March that we can look forward to? Any advice will be considered. This is very important because I have 5-year old twins who will also be looking for a club in the near future.

Look at the clubs within your mileage limit. Eliminate any that are over budget. Attend a practice of the teams you are interested in and speak to the coach and parents. Choose one. Enjoy.

Indeed. There would be nothing better than seeing a Florida raised youngster play in the Scorpion Bowl. Hope you get one of the coveted early morning games.

Edit: Oops, Scorpion Bowl is now in April. NEFC Tourney is first up.

If you are close to RI Bruno or Bayside are very good options!

Let's look a at just a few things wrong with this round of you-know-who's activity, and which no doubt will be followed by the standard "who cares if it's fiction, the points are still valid."

First, the "any advice will be considered." Excuse me, you're doing US a favor?

You haven't had time to "study the landscape"? What would studying look like if you had had time? And you're going to use this site as the substitute, lol?

Get her to the promised land? What's that mean to you? You've got a kid that good but you've been so sloppy and loose in your "studying"? Didn't get any advice from your super-duper club and coaches in FL?

Outside tournaments in February? Where would you have gotten that idea?

And enough with the "twins" theme. You're over the limit on that.

Who did you ask about this site? I mean, you don't have a club yet and haven't "studied" yet, so who directed you here and on what basis are you so trusting?

Because it's happened 1000 times before. The 12 year age is always a dead giveaway.
