Lakeland FC caught cheating in the 2016 Judges Cup

    Judges Cup
At the end of the RECREATIONAL fall season, U10 - U14 teams from all over Polk County come together at different host fields to compete in a season ending tournament, the Judges Cup.

The Judges Cup is a great way to end the soccer season while playing against equally ranked teams within your age group division.

We will provide the Coaches all necessary information when the tournament draws near, to include the schedule and game locations.

    U10 Girls * * * * U12 Girls* * **U15 Girls

Lakeland FC was caught using U10 and U12 boys and girls that were not the proper age this past weekend in the 2016 Judges Cup. This is a recreational soccer tournament that is supposed to be fun and about the kids. What kind of message is Lakeland trying to send to kids by cheating in a youth soccer tournament?

Someone NEEDS to be held accountable for this! This is UNACCEPTABLE Lakeland!

Who cheats a Rec tournament !?

They were busted rostering older kids in both U10 and U12 age brackets. They claimed they "misunderstood" what the U designation in those brackets meant ?

Seriously!? You are honestly saying that you don't know what "U10" means ?

All LFC teams DQ'ed in all U10 and U12 age brackets.
Utterly pathetic. Cheating a Rec tournament.

This is the LFC cancer moment for this week. There will be another example of cancerous behavior next week, and if you want, I can list of the thousand other shady things LFC has done in the past.

LFC is the worst club in Central Florida. Zero ethics.

This was NOT a mistake made by a half-baked volunteer. The LFC Registrar is a paid position.

And LFC has a clear financial incentive to to cheat the Rec tournament. Their pitch to parents to pay twice as much for Rec soccer at LFC (compared to other local clubs) is that LFC gives better training. Their proof of this claim is their annual results in the Rec tournament.

This is NOT the first time LFC has cheated at Judges Cup.

Then why did they have to forfeit all their games?

Because the players were too YOUNG, moron. There were three 5 year olds and a few 6 year olds on the U10 roster. The rules clearly state that players can play more than one age group up.

That's not true. They forfeited because they used older players. Go read the first hand complaints on their Facebook page.

If you are with the LFC board and are attempting to say you are not at fault, then you are pathetic. Those parents and players are owed a HUGE apology. The other local clubs that played against the older Lakeland players are owed an apology.

We're sorry, but in our defense the boys were small for their age.

That's what one opposing club coach said. They all claim your little Irish Doc played for two U12 boys teams and one U10 team. He played great! They got the wins, but afterward had to forfeit. Win at all cost. Go LFC!

                  LFC using older players

I was a Ref this past weekend....Yes, it is true that LFC had to forfeit their games due to the players being OLDER than the required U___ age group.

^^^^^^^^^^ look someone presented an actual fact. Finally we are getting to the bottom of this conspiracy to commit player fraud.

I expect there to be public tar & feathering at the board meeting Wednesday night. Who's with me? You will all be there, right? #keyboardcommandos

Please tell me this is just some disgruntled LFC parent trying to stir up trouble for LFC. Even the likes of LFC have more class than trying to cheat at some Rec tournament.

Incompetence doesn't equal cheating. And this folks will all boil down to that.
