Have any observations to report? I am tiring of the club and coach bashing. Let's put parent sideline antics up for discussion. That could be entertaining

Witnessed a u16 game past weekend where a parent is still yelling and coaching his kid on sideline. Many college coaches present further down the lines. Check that kid right off their list.

Overheard some kids warming up for a game at GPS challenging each other to start a fight with players from the other team during the game to earn yellow cards.
Wasn't a team my kid played against, though, so don't know if the plan was attempted.

Love it when the parents on the sidelines help the ref determine possession when the ball goes out of bounds. But when a mom pointed jumped up and down and kept yelling "hand ball hand ball" and on the 3rd time extra loud so the ref could hear her better thinking then maybe the ref would call it was a fun one to watch.

We've got a parent who frankly embarrasses us. Cheering loudly, and obnoxiously, whenever something good happens.
I just sit there and think "this other team must think we are all a-holes".

We have to play a team frequently who has one parent that gets tossed by refs regularly - at our field and theirs. Her kid is probably the best player on the team but supposedly no other club will touch her because of the mom. At what point should a club ban a parent? Ours has no tolerance for it. You get a talking to and if you don't get it the 2nd time that's it.

Ref recruitment should happen on the sidelines. Approach parents who call the game with an opportunity for a side hustle- reffing. They could get paid for what they are already doing.
