    ECNL 01 girls

This team is clearly lacking of superstar talent that other clubs possess. However, our bigger problem is internal. If a player excels at center mid, why is she playing center forward? Not to mention that ineffective favorites are being used considerably more than others, and some players are not seeing any significant playing time. When a team is struggling and chances of wins are remote, it would benefit the team to use and develop the players we have instead of bringing in new ones that didn't make the team to begin with.

OK, so if your gonna go there, dive in. You can't broad base reference a birth year and league when there are 6 teams. So dive in. What team... you clearly would not have started this thread without the intent of letting it all out.

Correct. And recently lost to Division-leading Tophat 1-0 on a PK in a closely contested game. Girls are getting better every week - coach is doing a lot of things right!

Sounds like an individual parent/player pair need to have a focused meeting with the coach for an honest exchange. That would probably be a lot more productive than venting on Talking-Soccer.com

Parent needs to shut up and drive. The last thing any ECNL coach is looking for is a parent telling him how to run the team. That is a sure-fire way to get your kid benched permanently.

I think this is part of the problem. Another posting on TS says your team has a daddy-coach? Thats a big problem in a team dynamic. Players never feel comfortable around daddy-coach kid and parents know that the coach cant be objective.

This whole daddy-coach issue is nonsense. I agree the club would be wise to place the coach elsewhere just to avoid the controversy altogether. But at the same time the guy can either coach or he can't. No one else needs to worry about him showing favoritism for his kid any more than any other player. His kid isn't keeping your kid on the bench, there are at least 10 other kids playing ahead of her as well. Anyone not getting playing time on any ECNL team has bigger problems to worry about than the coach's kid.

Where did the new kids come from? 2nd team?

That is SS. If you don't give him your all, he will bring others in. I think that is OK and all, but already when the team is new with so many adds. Seems pretty knee jerk reaction there. With the amount of losses they already have. This year should just be about development. Get everyone playing their best at their position. Figure out if some really have what it takes, after December start bringing in player from the second team that may be able to replace the other players. There will be a chance for a lot more wins with JFC, Concorde and Top Hat gone next year.

In all honesty, there are at least 4-5 players that would have NEVER made a really competitive team, let alone an ECNL team... The ones I'm referring to, knew the selecting coaches. The REAL disappointment is having to try and play these girls in our games. The level of play is an obivious drop off. In most of our games, we start out strong and are up at halftime- then the coach subs for a quarter or so and it makes a difference and we ende up losing. It's creating tension among the girls and it gets to a point that when these players are in, some aren't wanting to pass to them which isn't fair either😂 It's a hard spot for everyone to be in.

Agreed, it should be a cakewalk in the SE next year without JFC, OC, Concorde & Tophat.
Your easy wins go away though as well: BU & Weston.
TBU will consistently beat FKK & FESA

Yes the 4 or 5 came from a club down south on a average team. Not sure why so many more talented players were overlooked that already play here? Or which coach they knew?
