    Boys 2002 Fall

Looking at NEP, looks like they are not having an NPL bracket for the fall, but all the NPL teams are in the Premiership bracket and all last season Premiership teams that will play this fall are now in Premiership 1. Any clue as to why they didn't just keep an NPL and Premiership since in reality that is what is going on. Also, any idea which will be the top 4 2002 NPL (current premiership) teams and top 4 Premiership (current premiership 1) teams?

No idea why NEP didn't name the top bracket NPL. Makes absolutely no sense. Leagues in other regions did not take away NPL as a naming for the top bracket.

Maybe it has to do with the split of 2002 between 8th graders and High School and the talent pool does not completely round out until the spring?

Thats got to be it --its really hard for these teams to practice together--- I think its being treated more as training and working things out for the Fall

Anyone have any thoughts on the NPL and Premiership top teams?

From a friend of mine - was told that because the NPL is not full swing at 2002 with all of its players, they were worried to term the top bracket NPL when comparing results in the spring. It was a calculated decision. They have it down the line. New England was one of the only leagues in the country to do this foolishness.

NPL is generally a full year league (combined results from all games - e.g. Fall and Spring - factor into end of year standings / champions / qualification for Nationals / etc.). Since the teams in the Fall for 2002 this year will not resemble the full squads, they do not want to label the league NPL, or include the results in the end of year standings.

Coastal is very strong, saw them play this past weekend.
How is NEFC shaping up? Was a big deal they split up that Elite team from last year.

Looks like Coastal, Valeo and NEFC were the weekend winners for NPL?
Anybody catch any of the games?

2002 and up NPL is spring only. That is true everywhere. There is no fall NPL except in the younger age groups. Not a change--it the same way last year for U15 and up.

Half of them went to the Revs or Bolts

Where are all the goals in this age group? I know some of the HS players play so I would expect more goals.

You are wrong, it is not generally a full year. What about u15/u16/u17/u18. That leaves U13/U14, so most are not full year.

Plenty of HS ages playing in other states this Fall.
