St. J. - all main starters back but 1 player - he was the top scorer - they won 17 games last year with tough schedule - will be very strong

Shrewsbury will be a contender. Much more experienced this year and a good amount of seniors. Definitely a top 4 team. Their cross town neighbors, STJ, will be contenders. Heavy senior team and well balanced (offense and defense). GD will be in the mix, make districts and contend. Could be final four. Wachusett and Algonquin will be interesting. Both will make districts but very curious if they can back fill the talent that has departed both teams. South had a great run last year with a very good goalie however they were also heavily depended on their senior defense. I don’t see it in the cards for them this season, even with the same goalie. Districts – yes, going far – no. Rest of D1 - middle of the pack or below….. Way too early prediction: either Shrewsbury, STJ or GD.

I'd put Tantasqua at No. 10 and go from there. If they find a way to play a Div. 1 schedule this fall and beat some Div. 1 teams, then maybe they can move up. Until then, they can dominate Div. 2 & 3 teams and hope that MIAA keeps their silly seeding rules in tact for another year.

Wachusett doesn't stand a chance this year

Lost too much to be a factor this year.

No offense but they only got to the quarterfinals last year and were a 6th seed. I think they should be able to match that with how big their program is.

They lost some keys players front top to bottom down the middle. They'll do OK, but unlikely to go far. They're very talented from juniors to freshman, so look at them to fair much better in 2017 verse this fall.

SJ lacks big time impact player like AF last year. Without that they will accomplish nothing close to last year. Schools like Shrewsbury will dominate behind big years from players AP and MD.

AF was a very strong player. SJ has returning all the mid field, defense, goalie, and a 17 goal scorer. The team could have over 15 Seniors. It is now or long time later for SJ.

While I do not share you enthusiasm for the instant demise of STJ due to the graduation of AF he will be missed. However with that thinking GD and Wach will not come close to last year’s success either….
