Should not play for a team whose coach also coaches other teams

Should not play for a team whose coach also coaches other teams - by far better if your coach only can focus on your team

seem some of these bigger clubs where coaches have 4 to 5 teams - miss half the games and practices and really dont give a **** about the players

this is one of the most important points to be aware off - seen too many coaches late to games not prepared

So what clubs out there have coaches only coaching 1 team? Great in theory, but not very realistic.

My son's coach coaches 4 teams. To me, by far the most important thing is practices... His coach makes every single practice without fail (for all teams). That is where the real work is going to happen. He also makes the majority of the games. To give you an idea over the Spring season has probably missed 2 games, maybe shown up late for 2 (approximately). On the games that he has missed, he notifies us as to who will be covering the game for him - which is nice to know ahead of time - and to me shows some forethought as opposed to last minute having us wonder who it will be, etc. It isn't a perfect situation and sure I'd like him to be at all the games, etc... but he makes it an ok situation, imo. It also makes a difference if you like / respect the coach. I happen to really appreciate this coach, so I'm sure I tend to give him a little leeway there. Also, he will make an effort to show up. For example, he had a conflict a few weeks back which would mean that he would have to drive an hour and half to my son's game and would be getting there mid-way into the first half. To be honest, we weren't expecting him to show up (as he got coverage), but he made the trip despite the long drive and the "shortened" game for him. It showed effort. I appreciate that. Having said that, if the coach was like the description above, forget it, I'd be pissed.

I could name two, but no way I'd do it here. Too many crazies on this site.

              College coaches lol

No seriously sometimes a coach can handle 3 but anything above that is pretty difficult unless every star is in perfect alignment (which never happens). Two is really ideal and what you see at the higher level clubs/leagues.

It could be worse, you could have a bolts coach for maybe 30% of the team practices and about 1% at games. But they make sure there is a parent that will fill in as they coach for other teams outside of the club.

Made 1% of the games? That means that he makes it to 1 game every 3 years for your kid's team. Exaggerate much? " 100% fact!!!!"

Then that wasn't your kid's coach then. Maybe a guest trainer? Club owner?

He did not show up to ONE game for My kids team. From what other parents say from the other 3 teams he coaches he barely shows up for them. so, maybe the 1% was not accurate but i think it was close enough to describe him. That's why come fall there is going to be a lot of turnover.
