    2016 cape cod challenge cup

Does anyone have any experience with this tournament? Our team was asked to "fill in" for a team which cancelled. Is it worth the drive? Traffic issues? It's free-

If your kids have fun and you can drink enough, without hurting yourself or anyone else, it is worth it. Do you really need more than that?

My kids past travel teams have done this tournament. Travel teams and some very small premier clubs. Warning... some of the fields are awful!!! But if it's free and your team is available, it's a fun way to spend your Memorial Day.

I've read that before. Socrates? Plato?

Agreed with above. Especially the fields. The Cape Cod Community College fields were dirt and rocks with little clumps of grass sprinkled around. Dangerous. McBarron fields were nicer.

Took our U10 girls team to the Cape Cod Inflatable water park in Hyannis during a big gap between games last year. Water rides weren't open yet, but tons of bouncy houses were. They had a blast. Beers available for parents.

There will be a shortage of referees that weekend with the Needham, NESC, Framingham, and various other tournaments going on. This tourney is lower on the totem pole, so don't expect the A-team refs, if you care about that stuff.
