Is NEFC doubling their price beginning Fall 2016?

This is the kind of water cooler talk that takes place among parent managers and parents during Sunday morning practices. It sounds like there are NEFC admins and coaches who visit this site so please set the record straight. Will NEFC fees and costs for the 2016-2017 season be nearly double that of this season? And if so, can you address these specific questions that we had:

    - is it because the Breakers get a "cut" of each family's fee that goes directly to their bottom line, not necessarily the "academy"?
    - is it to help recruit Elite level players across New England to the program by offering them scholarships, even if their families are fully capable of paying the fees?
    - is it to help subsidize the real estate purchase and field construction out in Mendon?
    - Will new NEFC-Breakers uniforms be required next season in addition to the higher fees, if true?

Thanks in advance. And before the first "Thanks Fred" response comes along, I was standing at Fore Kicks in Marlborough this morning between where NB practices in the boarded field and where the volleyball practice is held. Fred was not there (at least based on the headshot I've seen online). It was just a bunch of NEFC parents shaking their heads and wringing their hands and wondering what the future holds if the rumor is even close to true.

And here we go again with the anti NEFC threads. Fred/Perspective, you've got to let it go. Focus on rebuilding your once proud club and let NEFC continue to grow.

We will shop for another club

As an NEFC Elite parent, I truly hope it is not true if it is we will leave the club.

Some of us have to watch our spending, so we talk about stuff like this. While the doubling of the fee does't seem reasonable and likely, the other items were discussed and we expect an increase.

Come on, you can't be that naïve to believe such an absurd TS rumor, especially given the history of NEFC bashing here
