    Premiership v Championship

US soccer is there a huge difference bet. Premiership v championship? what about college consideration? How does a team move from Championship to Premiership?

Also 24 roster can only 18 play? Hows that work? Real experience do kids really not play much beyond the initial 18?

Premiership better- 12-18 teams vs 30 + depending on age Not sure but I doubt college wasres time with championship teams unless they are 1st

Coaches play who is best - not all but most and the rest sit.

Not an expert but some crap teams and some good teams are in championship - premiership better.

top 3 from championship comes up

top 3 from championship comes up, bottom three from premiership go down, called promotion and relegation - keeps It interesting for everyone not like most American sports where season is dead for a lot of teams have way thru as not in contention to win.

no real focus on college soccer - if your good, you are with a team early

Is it possible to win the championship of the premiership?

Who know how it works. I've seen a team finish #1 in Premiership for what seems like forever and they don't move up to NPL. Seems like politics are part of who moves up.

Having seen all levels play there is a relatively small jump from Championship to Premiership and a fairly big jump to NPL.

A 1St place Premiership team would do well to finish in middle of pack at NPL.

On term of how player moves, they're called tryouts if your team doesn't move.

I thought that a club can only field one team per age group in NPL? So if one moves up to NPL, then one would have to move down. I don't see NEFC moving their Elite team down so their undefeated NEP Premier team can take their spot?

I am not sure I think if you look at NPL there are exceptions made. Really when you think about it, if you have a club thats finished first for a couple years in Premiership, they really should move up.
