Moving Coaches around
What I do not understand is the following.
Here in the USA, unlike Europe and South America, we PAY, they do not. IF your kid is good they make it with ZERO cost right? I understand where the DOC is going with this. Change the coaches if the "system" in place works, your coaches use it 100% and swear by it, and the results show on the field right?
I highly doubt most of the coaches believe 100% and use 100% of the time this "system" that was put into place by the DOC. If it is the case then we should see dramatic, dramatic results in what I think is year 3 right? u10-u11-u12-u13 should be amazing this year, if what this person is doing actually works, and works here in the USA, not where it does in Spain. Where the parents do not go to a tryout!
Kids get attached to their coaches, especially at the younger ages. I could be wrong but until people and parents see the system really working in big tournaments with our club, I do not see the need to have this revolving door of coaches each year. Some of these guys had teams under 2 years. They were not given the chance to create stability.
I really hope to see lots of girls at this years tryouts. My daughter will be 11 this year. Would be nice to see lots of girls at the younger ages.
:)

This is a big year for the DOC. It will be his 3rd full season with the club. No more excuses.

They are very optimistic about the girls side. 8 more coaches? If they could barely keep the one team in each age group, what makes them think they will have two in each group.
And yes, Zayas is missing. HMMMMMM

Giving the new blood opportunities instead of those useless coaches.

Some coaches have 1 team to train while others have 2 or 3 teams. How is this right. You have A team coaches bumped to B team coaches that is just wrong. Then you give the good team that have been trained to another coach who does not have the experience or who will have the players leave. Wpu is getting worse and worse every year. I rather have my kids tryout at other clubs then continue with the nonsense at Wpu.
You mention "A" and "B" team coaches?? What does it matter? You can have "A" team coaches playing kickball with the fast kids and a "B" team coach teaching possession based play to kids that are not as fast or big but have good soccer intelligence....which is the better coach?
