GPS Florida Announce New Elite Club Program for Season 2015/16

International Partnership with Bayern Munich to support new program

Orlando, 23rd January 2015; Global Premier Soccer (GPS) Florida is excited to announce the formation of a new elite club program to launch in season 2015/16.

In conjunction with the recent announcement that GPS has been named the exclusive North American partner of FC Bayern Munich, the club will now offer a new tier of programming geared for the most talented players within GPS affiliated clubs in the Metro-Orlando area.

The new program, branded GPS Orlando, will seek to strengthen the pathway to college soccer for the most serious and aspiring High School player. The program will combine key resources from existing GPS affiliated clubs, including FC America, Maitland SC and Hunter's Creek SC. and offer a superior player development environment in terms of facilities, coaching staff, development support and competition.

"We are excited to complement the existing structure of longstanding local clubs with a new, elite player development environment, said GPS Florida General Manager Graham Munro. "At an operational level, the new tier of program will combine the resources from existing GPS affiliated clubs and utilize multiple facility agreements to provide an enhanced and superior player development environment for elite, college bound players."

    The program seeks to merge existing top talent, in addition to welcoming new players with tryouts to be held in May 2015. In advance of tryouts for the 2015/16 season, GPS will reveal full details on all pertinent information including;

    • • GPS Orlando 2015/16 Coaching Staff
    • • Club Competitive Calendar
    • • New and Existing Facilities - e.g. XL Soccer World's new facility
    • • New Uniform Package, including FC Bayern Munich kit
    • • Access to curriculum and methodology from the international partnership with FC Bayern Munich

GPS will host a town hall meeting (date TBD) to discuss the new elite level club program to new and existing club members. Full details on the presentation evening are forthcoming.

"The GPS Orlando program seeks to provide an opportunity for players from local clubs to develop and compete at the highest possible level," said Munro. "Premier, Competitive, Development and Recreational programs will continue to operate in FC America, Maitland SC and Hunter's Creek SC with the GPS Orlando program simply offering a new top level of program for the top level player from each individual club."

Are there any "most talented players" at FC America, Maitland, and Hunters Creek?

    I thought they all left.

They are creating all star Rec teams. Im sure Bayern can't wait for these power house programs to merge talent. I expect Pep and college coaches from around the country will be at tryouts evaluating talent.

Don’t be envious now. There are many FCA talented players that chose not to go to OCYS be it for x or Y reasons. The same goes for the other clubs in the area. Dont be so naive in thinking the OCYS has the only talented palyers. Look what happens when DA tryouts start up , many of the players that make the team will be from outside clubs. Don’t kid yourself.

Where have we heard this before?

New XL Soccer Worlds facility - pretty sure FCA players/parents were promised this 2 years ago and nothing was delivered.

Why would anyone give these guys another chance?

If you want an FC Bayern kit go and buy one. You don't need to give $1500 to an unrealiable program to get one!!!

How does Graham still have a job? Has to be the worse coach and trainer in the world and even worse club manager! This program will soar just like all the programs he has heard up over the last few years! Lol

                    Friday, 1pm.

An automated mass email drops in someones inbox about a YOUTH sports club that they don't belong to regarding making a change to their structure for the benefit of their membership.

                    1.11pm

Having seen this email, Person X immediately logs on to online forum to bash said club.

My goodness, what a time to be alive!! I will never cease to be amazed at the parents/kids/trolls that literally have nothing better to do with their lives than contribute nothing other than bile and negativity towards YOUTH SPORTS!

Idk if this will work or not, but really, why be scared of it either way!?

There are plenty of kids in the Orlando area for another venue to learn and play the beautiful game.

There is plenty of money in Orlando and that's what they are looking for. I hope the training is worth it, but I doubt it. Why don't they provide this for their North Fort Myers partners? ...........not as much money!

Not sure how anyone can take this seriously. You have a bunch of Brits running a German soccer program? And what happened to the GPS/FCA AS Roma affiliation? This organization has no credibility. Laughable at best.

I am still trying to understand how an organization that was so politically connected and had significant financial backing could lose their fields to ACYS. These people manage to screw everything up and I am sure this will be no different.
