    Chanting vs. Watching

Can someone please help me understand the reason behind the chanting on mainly the hispanic teams while the majority of the gringo teams just sit there and watch the game???

    Passion? Lunacy? Lack of Passion?

Have you ever been on the losing end of one of the chanting parents. It sucks! And my kid cannot concentrate. The Latino's don't even know what to sing about. I heard them in West Pines singing about "Gallinas Putas" whatever the heck that is.

Chants happen in baseball with players under the age of 14. Listen to the dugouts, and their typically "gringo". Girls softball teams do it too. In Europe, it's done in soccer by the white European fans. You didn't hear the USA chant this last year? As long as it don't involve me, I'm fine. Just don't bother me. You have to have a weak stomach, if it bothers you.

I understand what you're saying, but I see where the OP is coming from....and I see it happen a lot as well.

The parents are chanting and singing while the other parents are just sitting there and getting annoyed by it.

Sorry, it just don't bother me. As long as they're not ripping other players, coaches and fans, I don't care. Look at high school football when crowds chant without cheerleaders. I don't see foreigners getting upset with that. Like I said, I don't care if it's not malicious. What bothers me is some of the stupid comments I hear from my own parents who call offsides on a throw in, or call hand ball after the keeper grabs the soccer ball from a header, or just not understand why the ball get passed backwards to defenders. That bothers me. Chanting, gets them going. good for them.
