Weston FC - president is back

For those of you who do not know me, I was one of the original founders of Weston AYSO and one of the first Regional Commissioners for over six years. I was also the sole founder of Weston FC and served as its first President. Most recently, I served a second term as President of Weston FC from 2011-2013. As a result of a change in the Weston FC Board structure, I have been asked by the Board of Directors to serve again as President and I am honored to do so.

    Steve Ziegler
    President,
    Weston FC

RS who ran AYSO was good in a rec program, started messing up Weston FC as president with his rec mentality.

There was bumping of heads people realized he was screwing up. The boards were arguing AYSO on a national level want to take soccer to the next level using the AYSO sectional teams to play travel tournaments. AYSO will have its own travel program.

But what will this do to the academy? Good question they probably found some loop whole so the academy won't be affected.

Why? Mr Ziegler is a great coach and soccer player.

He has been at the helm since 2011-2014. It wasn't a success then and if he was good it should be a success now. So he has had 3 years there and the girls program is still in shambles. Then got replaced and now back in. Gee I wonder why things are messed up in Weston year after year. Enjoy more of the same

Don't know about player, but as a coach he has the best record in Weston.

We will see if that still holds true this year.

Many things you can say about SZ. One truth is he built weston, made them 1st class, and we can only hope his return is not just because of his u11 kid, but a full return, because the club has been doing good, but not great for a few years, and that includes pre-academy, which has been killed by politics.

                          politics?

Pre academy politics? not correct, if they are not doing good how do you explain the first pre academy, now the 99 academy just got voted #1 in the country and sent to manchester united cup? How do you explain the 2001 pre academy lost the state cup final u13 playing one year up? how do you explain the 2000 pre academy just lost state cup final as well with 2000 born players? the 98 pre academy won the sfysa and fpl leagues, how is that possible in a program that is not working? the 97 academy wins the academy league in their division, they were pre academy for two years. if your son didn't get picked, move on, this program is well ran, by top coaches, and not by politics. One more thing to explain; if it was ran by politics, how is it that the top administrator's son cannot make 98 pre academy? keep talking garbage, tell your kid he didnt make it because of politics, go cry with donovan. Welcome sz, he will once again look in the best interest of the club.

Really?...Talking Soccer is your Press Vehicle

Wow...and your first decision as President is to choose Talking Soccer as a communication vehicle?

This proves two things...you have quite an ego. Professionals don't make 1st person announcements of their own appointments. You must really be anxious to tell the world you are back in control. The title of the thread makes this pretty clear.

Secondly, you chose the one communication platform that most in club administration wish didn't exist...which means you have been posting regularly here while waiting to be re-instated. Clubs shouldn't get any where near this site. It's for slander and for comedy. Weston would be wise to communicate professionally and traditionally.

Good luck President. You are off to a great start.

                              Rongen Gone?

and your first soccer decision was to fire Thomas Rongen?...and you say you are serious about competitive soccer. Rongen is amazing. What a loss, before you even acknowledged the gain.
