I love South Florida's U12 Girls Soccer Divisions. They have very competitive teams. I can't wait to see who comes out on top. Looks like a good field and some great match-ups! We all know who the favorites are but who will be the "Cinderella" team that has been working hard all year improving as a unit to spoil someones party!

Sunrise vs mako
Boca vs Tropical part 3
Wellington vs pinecrest vs west pines black
Weston Black vs MSVG vs team Boca
Each of these teams have experienced some success this season, some more than others.
To get out of group play and into the semis will be an accomplishment. This age group in South Florida is very good.
Kudos to the girls, coaches and parents.

U12G Regions A Cup
How would they won the Region Cup!!, you mean if they gave it to them. Weston got kicked out in the preliminary row, and they would have had to play another 3 games to win the finals including Wellington that beat them 3 times prior that year. So please give credit to the other teams that played and win, because it doesn't matter how good you think you are you still have to go out there and play the game.

Weston Black has an easy way to the finals .. there must have some connection with FYSA.
MSVG is an improved team but not good enough to stand up with Weston Black .. MSVG had a tough time against Weston White ..
Then on the semis .. again Weston Black has an easy path to the final! Playing Vs the winner of the group C, either Pinecrest (not the same team as last year), Wellinghton (for sure not the same team as last year) or West Pines (totally weaken this year by the historic departure of 7 players to Sunrise)
Then is the final, finally against a good team (Sunrise, Make, Tropical, Boca). That is the only game that Weston Black will be tested! I pick Sunrise to come out from those battles (a couple of games will be really close .. Tropical and Mako are super tough teams)
I pick Sunrise to win it all because Weston has no answer to Sunrise's home grown talent (sorry the last was a joke .. not trying to be offensive .. players\parents can play wherever they choose to)

At this age, it all comes down to how the technical more skillful payers hold up against bigger physical opponents, who are called natural athletes. These athletes will most likely be in another sport two years from now, due to their lack of vision on the filed. It's always amusing how the parents get so excited about a kid kicking the ball really hard and far, even if it goes nowhere. Same kid can be on a team that kicks the ball up the field hoping that it lands at the feet of the big bully forward. Works for now, but not for long. Coaches should be embarrassed to call this soccer. Parents, at least don't know any better. They only think their kid is great because they won, even though they can't even connect more than two passes.. Winning means nothing right now. When and if the smaller kids with skill gain some strength and size, they will take over. This Region Cup is wide open and the team you think will win it won't, especially with ODP taking place the same opening weekend. Who will get caught sleeping? PS...parents need to stop acting like a bunch of idiots on the sidelines...horrible example to the kids..

Not directed at anyone, but it's easy to see when watching games that the bigger physical kids can get by with no skill. Again, some parents that don't really understand the game think winning at the end is the goal. Not me. I prefer to play the game correctly and move the ball around than to play kick ball even if we lose. This will only payoff down the road for my child and her team. Plenty of coaches out there yell good job when a kid clears the ball under absolutely no pressure. This does not benefit the kid at all. Of course, there is always the late developer, but in most cases, these kids won't be competing for soccer scholarships. Doesn't mean they won't end up in a different sport excelling. JMHO
