As the Maple season begins this weekend, do we have any predictions for the Andre Cup? Are the U11 boy counterparts of the Strikers, Explosion, NEFC (south in this case), PTUSA, and Blazers as good as their older compadres?

I predict the games will primarily consist of pseudo elitist parents coaching from the sidelines, team players who just want to have fun, ice cream at Kimball's & a bunch of speed traps on rte 2.

Which club or town do you call home?

Originally posted by Unregistered View PostSadly, the Andre Cup is yet another event that has been essentially ruined by the creation of NEP. Only a few short years ago this was a terrific end of year tournament that pitted all of the best U11 teams in MA against each other in a group stage/knockout round tourney. Now the teams are split up due to the two leagues, and the event is a shadow of its former self. On the bright side, at least the price of club soccer for U11s has increased for all. Plus we all get to travel more.

June 14 & 15 Irwin Cup finals, Andre Cup finals, Promotion Games, U13 Tournament
It's over 2 weekends--kind of a pain too.
