Remember how fun it was to watch the kids play when they were little? Check out this short music video at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BTK6nc_BhEI. I especially like it when she shoves her own teammate! :smt038

A nightmare in the making. She'll be a prima donna, nightmare teammate, star striker. The video actually made me sick to my stomach. What is this dad going to be like the next 14 years. Yikes!

and herself ... what a little monster

Oh and dad, get a coaching Lisc, cause you are the only one who would (or should) put up with that in a team sport.

She's not up against anything in terms of competition, so it's all relative, but coaches will love that aggressiveness and determination.

My god, tough crowd on here. A monster and a nightmare in the making? That is absurd and frankly just a horrible thing to say. The kid is three or four years old. When my son was that age the kids basically just swarmed to the ball and kicked it, or anyone in the way, if they had the chance. This little girl has some of the best foot skills and control I have seen at that age. You're not exactly going to see a lot of teamwork with passes and overlaps when you are three or four years old! While some of you may get sick to your stomach with her aggressiveness and attack minded attitude (please), as the other poster referenced, a quality coach will salivate to have kids (especially girls) just like her. Wish my son's team had a few players with her mindset.

My guess is she has older brothers or sisters playing soccer and she was born on the soccer field, as my youngest was (almost literally as I insisted on staying to the end of the game before heading to the hospital). She had an eye for the game long before most did, but they caught up with her. I also had a daughter play up a year on a boy's U9 team with her brother. My favorite comment was from one parent after the game who came over to me and said, "I have truly been humbled. For years, I've been telling my son to quit playing like a girl. Well, now I want him to play more like a girl!!" Some kids get it early, others later, but teach the love of the game at a young age and they will continue much longer.

Oh, and when I watch my kid's earliest videos, all we seem to hear in the background are parents yelling, "No, the other way, the other way!"
