The best thing about the twist, was going back to New Haven again for Pizza. Wooster Street hosts both Sally's and the Spot and the big debate about which burning wood cooks the best pizza. I always went for Apple Wood at the Spot. It's some of the best Pizza you'll ever find. Louis Lunch for hamburgers would be next, but they still have funny hours and close all of Aug for their annual counting of the spoons.

Guest, your scores or MaSoccer's list are screwed up. Look at the list MASoccer provided. Some of the teams he's listed are playing in different age groups then you have listed results.

To face such problems :)
For dining in, I agree. But for take out with less of a wait, I'd go with The Spot, which is owned by Frank Pepe's, but still uses the old oven. Sally's is still great as well, but Bill Clinton still haunts the place and still gets takeout :P
Is it time for lunch yet?

Keep in mind that at TWIST, the age groups used are last year's age groups. That is, the rising U13's are playing in the TWIST U12 group.

One of the pleasures of New Haven........
I never mind waiting a little longer for a better pizza or a cool atmosphere. I know the old oven is the same, but it just doesn't work without the atmosphere. Same for the better pizza joints in Brooklyn.....take out just isn't the same.
