Has the Nation's Cup lost it's way?

The creation of these "super" teams to compete in the regional and national leagues seems to be a violation of the "Corinthinian" ideal of a a more or less normal team playing in a league not special made for Nation's Cup competing for a Championship.

Should the national deed of cup be changed? In MA every competitive league was qualifying. Today only MAPLE and MASC are qualifying.

Youth Soccer is a business. More leagues mean more tournaments, and more money. The National Cup is reacting to competitive forces in the battle for dollars in the youth market.

The "qualifying" is still only in place to keet the USL at bay. It will soon be dropped as well.
