I really liked those throwback uniforms. I may be getting old but they seem to touch a bit of nostalgia. Why not keep them? BTW, those pinstripes have got to go!!! :-&

I recently came across the new US MNT home jersey, at ussoccer.com. It seems a little too restrained--too bland:

Matches their style of play.

"The United States is probably the only country in the soccer world that doesn't have a recognizable uniform," writes Michael J. Agovino in the Slate.com slide show referred to above. He adds, "The most likely reason is that soccer has no tradition here. If the national team changed uniforms in Bolivia or Belgium, there would be a revolution. In the United States, no one seems to care."
