    CFC Boys -

From what I have seen the boys program

    #2
    Continued-

3 years with the Wolves and teams not even competitive. Sad really.

What should be expected from a premier type club program?

CFC could use a facility in central CT. Been hearing for years that they have it in the plans...
Just saw that soccerplus grabbed the new indoor field in Middletown.

CFC has a facility down in Hamden...but they should have the money to do something up in the Hartford area especially because there are CFC franchises popping up weekly. Where does all that money go that is paid into the CFC Nation????

Wondering the same - Where does all the money go and where is the CFC boys program heading in general? Bringing some of this over from the concurrent SoccerPlus thread regarding business plans -

Does CFC Boys have a plan beyond taking any kid that can afford to play and absorb any club into creating another branch.

to the horses....Love that one. I know what you are talking about. Not sure everyone else does. These cfc franchises all have to give a major cut to Mr soccerhead. There can't be much profit left for those who run the actual franchise. As for candlewood, I've never seen them play but they can't be worse than azzurri teams.

                  Who cares?

As long as parents see value in what they are paying for , the market will adjust accordingly. Not every parent has a child that they feel needs to participate in the gauntlet of trying out for a top team, and putting up with that rat race.

Many parents may indeed seek a positive healthy environment in which their child can prosper and grow. Maybe not grow to NT status, but it could serve as an essential part of total character development.

Same goes with Soccerplus. Just let the children play .

Yes but it doesn't make sense to pay more for a crappy premier club than less for a good one.

" crappy" and" good" are descriptions subject to discussion and opinion.

                        Player Evaluations ?

Our current premier club (not to be named at this time) totally lacks in communication.

Seemingly hiding behind a team manager / parent and the automated update system for schedule related communications but nothing ever in discussion of the participating child.

Wondering if this common in club soccer. Or more so, do any programs actually prepare player evaluations and individual development plans and formally discuss this with the parents and players?

Little to no effect. Top players won't be leaving academy clubs, Beachside or FSA anytime soon to play for a "azul". The only kids that will be at their tryouts will be their current players who don't desire academy or kids that were cut or on the bubble from other top clubs.

Where will u15 azul be based out of? Girls have established United teams will be in Fairfield County but does that also make sense for Azul?

Another CFC name? who comes up with all these names?

How about a contest to see who can name all CFC teams:

Azzuri, Azul, Ahole, Gunners, Samba, Extreme, Wolves, Impact, Blue, Orange, Candlewood, United
