Stars Winter Training Programs North Shore and Woburn

This is for all of you Aztec and Seacoast parents. Just know that they titled this thread wrong. It should be "Stars Winter Recruiting Programs". The laughable thing is the Stars have never been known as player developers.

Anyone want to debate how much the Stars administration comes on this forum after reading this thread? They use this forum like a PR machine.

Thanks, but we will stay with Aztecs!

Stars development is an oxymoron. It really makes me chuckle. Time for a reality check on this one, Stars!

Stars are a recruiting club. They are looking for both players and payers. Players are assigned to their top (ECNL) teams. Everyone else is a payer. If you are not on their top team, your player looks like a Star when in the uniform and you can say your daughter or son is on Stars, but all you are really doing is paying to support the top teams.

There are a few better local options than Stars. NSU, SF Vikings, Aztecs and Benfica would be my first stops if you are looking for real player development. These clubs build their own players. Stars builds team through recruiting. They do NOT develop players well at all.

            But they made you look!

Complain all you want but you looked at the post. Six other
Clubs have posted similar programs in the past
            Two months.

Not complaining. Just stating some pretty factual information to put the original post into perspective.

There is no question they are recruiting. Why wouldn't they given the influx of Aztec and other north shore players this and last season? If you're curious about the Stars, they are doing you a favor by offering clinics closer to you. See for yourself what their training is like. If you're not, why do you care?

Stars are the sharks of the club soccer world. They continue to lose respect among their peers for their predatory behavior. Not the club anyone with any sense should get involved with.

                  Be warned!!

We could not be happier with the training and overall environment we are enjoying at Aztec. No reason at all for us to make a change.

You clearly lack any sense of releality. Keep drinking the Star's Koolaid. Good luck.

Thanks, JD, for your in depth analysis of this situation. No idea what the Massachusetts youth soccer world would do without your dribble.

Players don't go to other clubs if they are happy
where they are. Offering a clinic is not predatory. Obviously they
Have something to offer or people wouldnt be signing up for them.

The coaching is excellent in some of these
Clinics. And there obviously is a demand for them as
Most clubs aforementioned do not offer open
To the public skills clinics with the same caliber of coach.

Resent them all you want but in the club world
Kids are just looking for the right fit.

The last 10 state cup teams were comprised
                              Primarily of kids who started
With the club many years ago. That refutes your
                              They don't develop theory.
