Does anyone know if it is possible for a u10 to tryout for the u12 boys odpnteam?

yes it is.That is the youngest age for boys so you can try out as a U-10.

I heard that only 99's were allowed this year, no 2000's. is this new to not let younger kids in?

Possibly,even if they play through the season and go to rider and then camp.They are not allowed to make regional pool 2 years young only one year young so maybe.So really no point.

A 2000 would be 1 year young, not 2.
