    Scorpions

I have to say Fred Marks has done a heck of a job growing his club into a huge competitive powerhouse. Not only has he grown the club, but keeps fee's reasonable. Part of the success?

Also even with their participation in other leagues from MASC to Regional, there is strong participation in MAPLE.

Yes, a good job. Bigger question is can they sustain it? At what point does it become difficult to maintain quality?

Why did you ever start this thread? Haven't you learned? It's just going to turn into a bash the Scorpions threads.

First of all, nothing about bashing.

I never heard anything bad about Scorpions and I'm not saying anything bad. Fred Marks used to come on the old touchline and I always read his comments.

I read here that Scorpions were pulling out of MAPLE, so I was curious. When surfing their website, I was surprised at how big the club is. That's all.

Sorry if I started something bad. :(

That is the trend. Field many younger teams to develop talent for the future.

a couple of V.good girls teams (I know a big recruit push last season for one of them hardly qualifies clubs ability to teach) not so great boys teams so its nice to see a lot of younger teams providing the coaches are good teachers with good background unfortunately no background info on coaches experiance on site.. so cant really compare $ value fairly..But Ive
Seen some of Freds comments here seems like a good guy

Yes, I bet he's glad he wiggled his way on the South Coast board when the club was started in Duxbury.

South Coast girls (Duxbury) existed long before Scorpions. Scorpions were successful very quickly. A merge occurred, South Coast Scorpions. Fred was never on the South Coast girls board. The South Coast group was nearing the end of their youth soccer involvement and were all gone 1-2 years later. Scorpions reverted to their former name after that.
